School bullying is defined as an act where a student/ predator is emotionally or physically violent to their victim, for any reason that could differ from anything from the social class of the victim to any behavior attribute of the victim that makes the predator think they’re a target.

Bullying is not a one-time act of violence, it is a repetitive behavior that soon turns into a regular time interval and is performed by the predator for no other reason than emotional satisfaction.

Bullying behavior can be seen in many exams, from spreading rumors about an individual to emotionally hurt them, to physically assaulting a student and harassing them for money, or any particular reason is also known as bullying.

the key word here is Intention. Was the abuser/predator/student well aware of what they were doing yet they carried on their activities intending to hurt the other person?

If yes, that person should be held responsible for their action and disciplined for them too.

If you ask me why then I have any reasons. Bullying doesn’t only affect the victim, but also the bystanders and abusers.

Effects on Victims-

  • Victims often face more academic difficulties, and problems concentrating at school due to bullying.
  • They might fall into depression, anxiety, or develop an eating disorder or more.
  • Victims also tend to drop out of school.
  • Victims will have more problems adjusting to society and have more relationship issues
  • In serious conditions, the victims may also engage in self-harm and suicide.

Effects on Abusers-

  • Abusers not only create a social disturbance when they’re in school, but when they grow up as an adult they are likely to commit a crime.
  • they Abuse alcohol and other drugs in adolescence and as adults
  • Get into fights, vandalize property, and drop out of school
  • Engage in early sexual activity, leading to more issues such as sexual infections or unwanted pregnancies,
  • Have criminal convictions and traffic citations as adults
  • Be abusive toward their romantic partners, spouses, children, or other individuals as adults

Effects on Bystanders-

  • the people who also watch bullying and abuse happen also suffer from trauma and other mental illness, and
  • also are prone to using drug substances,
  • they can also get influenced by the abuser and try the same things
  • They also skip school more frequently.

That’s how we found out that bullying affects not only the victim but also the abuser and the people around him. Bullies when growing up commit more serious crimes and often end up as social evils. Things get harder when the victim is blamed for a weakened will or trying to give up easily. The survey shows that 1,53,052 people committed suicide in the year 2020.

There is a relationship between bullying and depression which proceeds to explain the relationship between bullying and Suicide. Most times, a student with mental illness is bullied for it or develops one while getting bullied. The victims often have a history of bullying that could further be divided into sexual harassment, assault, and more.

Such repetitive incidents often lead the victim to either kill themselves, engage in self-harm or other self-destructive behavior, and will have to suffer lifelong trauma. And this is why we should care.

Often when the victim comes out, people blame them for the abuse they have gone through. They’re victim-blamed for not being strong enough, emotional, and weak. This has to stop.

Bullying,

Is never okay.
